Focus on the New...Focus on the new when I am reeling from a situation?   Seriously?!!! Sounds rather trite doesn’t it?   Well let me share something that  happened to me and it has helped me focus on the new rather than whatever is lost.

I am a little in shock, then I realize God removes things, situations and even people from your life for a reason.  It may not make any sense in the moment.   The moment happens and you are left dumbfounded.  It clearly is not me, it was them.   Their issue, their response was wrong and I am now faced with a choice: I can hold on to that hurt or let it go.  Trust me I felt sucker-punched.

I am lucky that I have a connection to Spirit and when I am quiet and really take the time I see/hear/feel the answers.   Their answer has been loud and clear — “Something better is coming”. Trust me that is not something that a triple Capricorn wants to hear that they are going to need to be patient, grateful for what they have and to focus on the new.

Sometimes Spirit needs you to do something to answer a prayer for someone else.    You can and do have Free Will.   You can fight the path you are put upon or you can bend like a stream and flow with it.   It is hard to wait patiently, I get it completely.

Patience is Necessary

In the meantime, we must be grateful for each experience, because we do not know how everything will connect in our lives.  We must be patient for the right time and place for everything to fall together.   We do not get to say when or how ahead of time, it will only be as we look back that we will understand the why.   If you are very observant, Spirit will give you a glimpse.   I know that fighting a Bully like I have was one.   Today I helped another friend over an emotional bump and then there are so many things I am grateful for.

I had the honor of helping a young woman at the Stump one day.   I knew when I drove down to Lily Dale that I would be giving a very important message.   As I sat at the Stump, I felt her walking up the path.  When she got to where I was sitting it just flowed from me.   I do not know what I said, all I remember is the look of relief and how she walked away smiling and laughing with her friends that had brought her there.   What ever Spirit had me say was exactly what she needed.  She has since sought me out to send me a heartfelt thank you.   I somehow took a 2 ton brick off her shoulders that she has been carrying around for some time.

Help Others

That is what we are hear for; to help each other along the way.   Fill this world with love and more importantly hope.  Hope that there is a reason for the things that are happening.   Hope that we can improve our situation.   In having hope and living with faith — we take a bite out of fear.  Sometimes we do so knowing we are doing it like the above, other times it is our getting up after each time we are knocked down that inspires people.

Awhile back I read that Faith and Fear are the same thing — each focused on a different outcome.   Ever since, I have decided to place my focus on the faith side of the equation.   It doesn’t mean that I don’t at times feel afraid, it just means I must push harder through those moments.   If you are facing a loss; be it a person, a situation or thing instead of staying focused on that, focus instead on the new that is appearing in your life.   You too will be surprised.
