Negotiation and Mediumship

So what does Negotiation and Mediumship have to do with each other?  Negotiation skills are important life skills, but they have a role to play in your mediumship.   For one having these skills makes it easier to communicate with Spirit.

I talk about your contract with Spirit a lot with new students.   Setting boundaries and building confidence.   If you are a skilled negotiator, communication with Spirit is easier because of these skills.   Struggle with these skills?   Start working on you, learn to trust your intuition, and focus on your mindfulness to improve your mediumship skills.

Why Being a Better Negotiator Is Important in Life

Being a great negotiator provides many important life benefits. Negotiating skills go far beyond getting the best deal. It’s not just for the businessperson either. Negotiating skills can help you buy a home, pay down debts faster, or prepare you for many other things required in life.  In mediumship it helps you navigate between Spirit and yourself.  It helps you navigate working with people who need to hear a message and are struggling to understand.

Here are five reasons why being a better negotiator is important in life.

To Be an Effective Team Player

Proper negotiations require both parties to gain something in return. It does not involve trying to get the best deal if it negatively affects the other party. There is always a middle ground to be found if you always strive to reach a good outcome. Without good negotiation skills, you won’t learn how to become an effective team player that is important for many things in life and society.

In Mediumship it is a team effort between you and Spirit to have a message delivered.   You have two parties that need to communicate.   They both have to work with you, so boundaries are important.

To Improve Your Listening and Communication Skills

Negotiating requires the ability to listen and communicate your side effectively. You can’t know what to offer or where to approach the deal if you don’t stop and listen first. The best negotiators get their information first before ever trying to make an offer. This starts with proper communication skills.

Listening skills to a Medium is one of the most powerful tools they have.   By listening we can share powerful messages to those in need.   That skill is not just important in business.

To Gain More Confidence

Improving your communication skills allows you to grow as an individual, both personally and professionally. Gaining confidence simply requires a willingness to learn and grow over time. Confidence makes certain things in life easier to perform or accomplish. It overshadows stress and allows you to push through discomfort when you need it more. Sometimes, simply trusting yourself is all it takes to become successful.

Confidence for a Medium makes it easier to communicate.   To gain confidence as a Medium requires a lot of practice.  Trail and Error.  As you begin to trust yourself, you grow and become better at communicating with Spirit.  I say this often, but it is true.   The only difference between me and you when it comes to Mediumship is that I have failed more times than you have thought of trying.   Some of my biggest mistakes have built my confidence working with Spirit.

To Make Better Decisions

Negotiating skills improve your critical thinking and awareness to make the right choices for your business and personal life. Great negotiators can notice the red flags and the green ones that can help solve any issue they face quickly. Without these flags or key bits of information, you won’t be able to make a proper deal.

Many Mediums will take any communication, positive or negative.   Over time, you begin to set boundaries with Spirit.  For me it is the highest and best.   I work in the light.   The positive nature of where I work is a better decision for me.   You too will find things that you will think back and say I could have done that better.  And you will do better.   That is the process of learning Mediumship.

To Increase Overall Success

Last but certainly not least, proper negotiating skills increases your overall success in life. It allows you to take notice of the areas you can easily improve with a simple compromise that, in turn, improves your well being and perspective. Increased confidence, better communication skills, and increasing your critical thinking skills all work together to ensure you continue to make the right choices and actions in life.

Becoming a great negotiator allows you to get the best deal and prevents you from becoming a victim or missing out on many important things in life. In addition, proper negotiating skills mean you have superior communication skills that allow you to make better decisions in life.   As a Medium, these skills are so important to your success!
