ReadWhy readings can be confusing

Readings are interpretive.   Why readings can be confusing are dependent on various factors.  You have the person giving them the Medium, the sitter and Spirit.   If you ever receive a reading from a Medium, and you don’t fully understand a message, let yourself take it and mull over it. You never know when those details may suddenly make perfect sense.   Let’s break this down where you may not understand a portion of a reading to the Spirit identification, a situation or the message itself.

Identifying a Spirit can be challenging.   Often you have a description that you cannot relate to but is completely accurate.   You see the Spirit can only use the experiences and senses that the Medium has developed and that of the sitter.   Spirit also has to have developed to a certain level to communicate with the Medium.  Mediums vary, we all have different boundaries and those differences are a good thing.   The Medium you see today may have had a fight with a friend the night before, is over-tired or not feeling well.   All these things factor in how well they connect with Spirit.

Why Readings Can Be Confusing

For purposes of this discussion – let’s say the Spirit was an abusive father who drank and was angry all the time.   He liked baseball, drove an old red pickup, lived on the family farm, and did crossword puzzles.   Was married a couple of times and had 3 children.   His first wife died of cancer leaving him three young children and the second wife left him because of the drinking.

The person coming to the Medium is the youngest child who left for college and never returned home until her father’s funeral.   The last funeral she attended was her mother’s and she was only five at the time.   A successful woman now in her late twenties looking for answers and struggling with love.   Her step-mother left when she was 12 and never was very good at relating to her or her siblings.   The woman kinda sounds like her step-mother, but things don’t make sense.

The Medium comes with her own parental baggage.   She has rules about dealing with situations like this.   Because of her boundaries with Spirit, she cannot bring forth the father who the daughter wants to hear from.   She can bring forth her mother, but the woman cannot relate to the information because her memories are of a very sick mother.   Nobody ever talked about her mother.   She only has two or three photos of her.

See where it can get muddled?

Spirit Communication is an Art

There are many times that details come through in a reading that we don’t understand or resonate with in the moment. This doesn’t always mean they’re wrong. Sometimes, we remember the meaning at a later time.   Often one Medium gives something, that gives a clue to search upon.   It is another Medium who then, totally unrelated, helps break through and the message is given that gives the sitter healing.

I know this first hand.   Once, I had a sitter who was recommended to me by another person.   They had great difficulty connecting with them.   This Medium and I have very different styles and I was surprised they would recommend me.   I now see that Spirit shared that I was the right person.   We may not see eye to eye in personal matters and not like each other.   There was respect not only for me but for the gift we share.   His personality triggered me emotionally; and not in a good way.

Since it was at a psychic fair, they knew there was no communication between the two of us.   The person sat down at my table less than 1/2 hour after sitting with the first person.  Where the first Medium was connecting with the parts of their father that was painful.   I was connecting to a time that was happy and where things went wrong in their father’s life.   Because of my boundaries with Spirit, Spirit had to communicate with me in a way that ultimately gave not only validation for the sitter but healing.   I said nothing different than the other Medium.   I said it in a different way.

Have patience when getting readings, and if things don’t makes sense write them down.   Dig a little.  If the Medium describes something about your family have a discussion with someone.   They may be the confirmation you need.   I hop this helps you.  Remember, sometimes a Medium is only planting a seed that will blossom much later.   Sometimes it is immediate like the above story, other times it can take weeks, months or years to bloom like the bamboo.
