Why is Detachment Necessary for the Law of Attraction

Detachment when it comes to the law of attraction?  It is easy to focus on what you want to manifest into your life, and choose different methods for making it happen. But then what? If you then just obsess about your manifestations and think nothing about them, you are probably inadvertently delaying it. The trick to the law of attraction is setting your intention, then letting it go.

What Does it Mean to Detach from a Manifestation?

Detaching from your manifestation does not mean you no longer want it or stop caring about it. All it means is that you stop focusing on it. You decide that while you still very much want to manifest that dream into your life, you are okay with not needing it now and trusting in divine timing. You go back to focusing on living your life and have full faith that if the manifestation is meant for you, it will come to you at the perfect time.

Why You Need to Detach

So, why should you detach from your manifestations? Because of your focus and mindset. If all you do is think about what you want to manifest into your life, and constantly try new ways to use the law of attraction, you are ultimately going to think about the fact that you don’t have it yet. You start to get into a feeling of lack without realizing it.

By thinking about something you want, you are telling yourself and the universe that you don’t have it. This can prolong the manifestation from coming into your life, possibly indefinitely if you keep obsessing about it and not continuing to be in the moment and living your life to the fullest.

If all you do is think about it, you will think about not having it, which is going to keep your manifestation from arriving. Also allows you to enjoy life, live in the moment, live as if, be more thankful for what you do have

Tips for Detaching

Detachment doesn’t always come easily.   The hard part is knowing how to actually detach from what you want. When you begin manifesting your dream life and thinking about what would bring you joy, it is easy to get caught up in it and think about how you don’t have it now. But here are some tips for detaching once you have set the intention:

Remind yourself of divine timing.

This is perhaps the most important part of detaching, since the universe wants to bring you what you want. Once you have asked the universe for what you want to manifest, all you have to do is have trust that it will come to you. Every time you have a feeling of lack, go back to your trust in divine timing.

Be grateful for what you already have.

To live more in the moment and just enjoy your life, start practicing gratitude. This can be to yourself throughout the day every time you get a blessing, or by writing down a list of what you are grateful for each day.

Live as-if.

This is another great option not only for detaching, but for the law of attraction in general. Live as if you already have what you dream of. It is a way to get into the mindset of gratitude and help attract more abundance into your life.
