happiness
I originally wrote this in June of 2016.  Today I see this more so than every.  Happiness is often a struggle for many, including myself.  The majority of my life I struggled with being happy.  For a time I thought different achievements would mean I was happy.   I listened to what others said would make me happy.
Desperate to be happy, I listened to them and did what everyone told me that would make me happy.   I was desperately unhappy and confused.   Guess what it did not work.   I realized that possessions and professional accolades were not what I wanted to be happy.   I needed real honest connection with others.

Finding Happiness

Let me make this easy for someone else.   It is only when I discovered that it is not the accomplishments of my life or what others said that would make me happy was not going to that make life worth living.  Yes it is just that simple.   Define it and then don’t let other’s opinions change how you feel.
It is gratitude for the little things that really assist us in finding joy.   Joy in helping others.   So if you are not happy, start being grateful for the little things.   Start living your life the way you wish to live it.   Live life on your own terms.
What makes you happy will be very different from what makes me happy.   So go out and find your own happiness.   As soon as you let go of what others believe that will make you happy and define it for yourself is when you will find it.
