Like me, you may feel alone in this world. Image of a woman praying in a church.

For Those That Are Like Me…
Originally posted June 2, 2016 — updated with gratitude and growth

I once read a quote that struck a deep chord:
“Somewhere out there is someone looking for someone just like me.”

In 2016, those words gave me the courage to show up more authentically online. I didn’t yet know who might be searching, but I trusted that someone out there was looking for a voice like mine. Someone like me.

So I created this space. A place where others who think and feel like me could land and find something real. Something kind. Something spiritually grounding in a noisy world.

I started writing not because I had all the answers, but because I remembered what it felt like to search. I had found articles and blog posts that helped me feel less alone—written by people who were a little like me. That connection mattered deeply.

There’s another quote that continues to guide my work:
“I don’t share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently. I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.”

That’s still why I write. It’s why I teach, speak, and hold space for others. My voice has grown stronger over the years, but the heart of it hasn’t changed.

If you’ve found this post, it might be because you’re a little like me too.

And if so—welcome. You’re not alone. You never were.
