Helping Sitters Recognize Signs from Their Loved Ones

Have you ever failed to recognize signs from loved ones?  It is no different for our sitters when we do readings.  Mediumship readings provide a beautiful opportunity for sitters to reconnect with their loved ones in spirit, but the connection doesn’t end when the session is over. Many people continue to receive signs and messages in their daily lives—if they know what to look for. As a medium, you can help sitters become more aware of the ways their loved ones may be reaching out.

Common Ways Spirit Communicates

Spirit speaks in many ways, and signs often come in forms that are deeply personal to the sitter. Some of the most common signs include:

  • Dreams – Loved ones often visit in dreams, bringing comfort, messages, or simply their presence.
  • Songs or Music – A meaningful song may play at just the right moment, reminding the sitter of a loved one.
  • Nature Signs – Birds, butterflies, feathers, or even scents can serve as gentle reminders of spirit’s presence.
  • Numbers and Synchronicities – Seeing repeating numbers, initials, or significant dates can be a nudge from spirit.
  • Unexplained Sensations – A sudden chill, a familiar scent, or the feeling of being touched lightly can indicate a presence nearby.

Encouraging Awareness and Trust

Many sitters dismiss signs because they expect something dramatic or obvious. Encourage them to trust their intuition. If something reminds them of a loved one, it likely is a sign. Spirit communicates in subtle, everyday ways, and recognizing these moments strengthens their connection.

Keeping the Connection Open

Sitters can deepen their awareness of signs by inviting their loved ones to communicate. Suggest practices like:

  • Keeping a journal of any signs they notice.
  • Speaking to their loved one aloud or in their thoughts.
  • Setting an intention before sleep to receive a message in a dream.
  • Creating quiet moments in their day to allow spirit communication to come through.

Validating the Experience

Remind sitters that their experiences with spirit are real. The more they acknowledge the signs, the more frequent and clear they become. Mediumship is just one way to connect, but spirit is always present, offering love and guidance beyond the reading.

Helping sitters recognize and trust signs from their loved ones empowers them to continue their relationship with spirit in a meaningful way. By offering validation and encouragement, you help them feel supported in their ongoing journey of connection.

If you’ve experienced signs from a loved one or have questions about connecting with spirit, I’d love to hear from you. Share your experiences in the comments or reach out to continue the conversation!
