Weekly Affirmation – Selfish or Self-Care?

When others make you feel selfish for setting boundaries with them, it reflects on them.  That is right, it reflects on them not you.  Your needs need to be met by others and they need to be respected.   The hardest thing you have to do is not feel guilty about that.   How about trying an affirmation to change your mindset?   This week’s affirmation is as follows:

I will not feel selfish for speaking my needs to others.

About Weekly Affirmations

Each week I find it helpful to use affirmations.   I personally find using the same affirmation for 7 days more effective, so I will share them each Thursday with you.
You may ask why Thursday, well it usually is the day of the week that I struggle the most.   I found Sunday’s as a start not working for me, I tried then Monday and discovered that I would be stressed from work.
The discovery that the affirmation sits in my mind over the weekend that by Monday was a game changer.  It became part of me effortlessly.  You can use them as you see best fit.  There is no right or wrong with affirmations as long as you use them.   Using the affirmations in your daily life helps you build the life that you desire.
