guilt

I have been dealing with a lot of guilt lately.  And it is all over me doing something that is good for me, while causing discomfort for others.  The people pleaser in me is not happy.  It is a decision that I have taken a long time to come to.   It started last year at this time.  I gave plenty of notice yet, I am the bad guy.  As my husband would say, I am in the wrong room.  I know it.  They do too, but it is so much easier for them if I stay in their room.  At what point do you recognize this and do something about it without the guilt?   Honest question, I am dealing with it right now.  This is where affirmations are a great help.  Sometimes even the most experienced person needs to return to the basics.  So that is what I am going to do. This weeks affirmation is as follows:

I am allowed to not feel guilty for doing what is best for me

About Weekly Affirmations

Each week I find it helpful to use affirmations.   I personally find using the same affirmation for 7 days more effective, so I will share them each Thursday with you.
You may ask why Thursday, well it usually is the day of the week that I struggle the most.   I found Sunday’s as a start not working for me, I tried then Monday and discovered that I would be stressed from work.
The discovery that the affirmation sits in my mind over the weekend that by Monday was a game changer.  It became part of me effortlessly.  You can use them as you see best fit.  There is no right or wrong with affirmations as long as you use them.   Using the affirmations in your daily life helps you build the life that you desire.

What are affirmations?

A daily affirmation is a type of statement that is uplifting and positive, and helps to create a positive mindset for you. Some people use them every morning, others have a list that they read off any time they are feeling a little down.

Affirmations Help You Grow!

Words have power — use them to your advantage to make today a great day for you!   If you are always saying you can’t do something you are setting yourself up for failure.  Use these affirmations to assist you on your spiritual journey to grow and prosper.
