Intuition Tips for a Happier Life

Tapping into Your Intuition to Live a Happier Life

I want to talk about some intuition tips that have helped me over the years.  Have you ever experienced a moment where you thought, “I have a really bad feeling about this!” and immediately wish you had listened to it? Well, that is your gut instinct or intuition warning you and something you should listen to far more often.

It is the act of trusting yourself and believing that you must have the correct information to make a proper decision for your safety or happiness. Your intuition is capable of avoiding unhealthy relationships or unsafe situations and is often instinctual and personal. Meaning you can tap into it and use it to your advantage to live a happier and more rewarding life.

Practice Mindfulness

The first step to harnessing your intuition requires mindfulness of your surroundings and, most importantly, the sensations you feel. These sensations can range from hot flashes to chills when you sense danger or hot, tingly, and tight when you feel anger. A great practice is to label these sensations the moment you recognize them. This way, you can use the information more correctly and get to safety or relax.

 Don’t Push Away Your Emotions

To clear your mind more effectively, acknowledge and accept your emotions. This doesn’t mean they have to take over and control your life.

It means taking notice of why you are having them in the first place and taking steps to solve it or cope a little more. With better control of your emotions, the more likely you are to trust your gut or intuition, the next it strikes.

Read and Connect More Often

While intuition doesn’t require you to have the proper education to experience it.  That doesn’t mean it can’t help you trust it a little more and take notice of it when it happens. The more concepts you understand and perspectives you gain from others, the easier it is to distinguish the different times of sensations or singles your intuition is trying to tell you.

 Spend Time Alone

Get to know yourself. Take the time to discover, on a deeper and more personal level by spending time alone with yourself, what makes you tick. If others always surround you, you are likely missing out on some key details that make you unique. Intuition is personal and can’t be learned from others as the sensations or feelings you have unique to you.  The importance of alone time to fully comprehend and understand what makes you do the things you do.

Know When Fear or Negativity Is Taking Over

Fear, anger, depression, and other forms of negativity can easily cloud your intuition. You must learn to let these feelings go the moment they don’t provide any value to you. Studies repeatedly show that the more positive you are, the more likely you are to make good decisions and lead a successful life.

In the end, tapping into your intuition takes mindfulness and a deep understanding of oneself. Once you do this, you can better achieve your goals and are on your way to living a happier life.
