Let’s Talk About Mediumship Failures
Often we talk about various aspects of mediumship. But I want to focus on some common Mediumship Failures that happen with all Mediums at some point. Even great Mediums slip up and set themselves up to fail when they make these mistakes. There are many times we focus on the successes of Mediumship, but there are times that we need to discuss some of the failures that many Mediums do encounter. Because when we experience failure, we learn.
Common Mediumship Failures
Afraid of Being Wrong
Fear of being wrong is part of your ability to trust Spirit. If you have fear of being wrong I am going to suggest that you spend time in meditation and build your connection to Spirit. Find a way to have faith and don’t let fear interfere with your connection with Spirit. When you are full of fear, you are disconnected. Remove the fear!
No one person is perfect. Everyone has room for improvement. Don’t forget sometimes recipients are not ready to hear what you are saying. Sometimes we are only meant to plant a seed.
Take every opportunity to practice, join a Development Circle, volunteer at an event, go to a church service and give messages. Remember the difference between a Master and a Beginner is that the Master has failed more times than the Beginner has even tried.
Thinking You Have Plateaued
Every Medium is able to learn and grow from where they are. Nobody reaches a plateau that cannot be risen from. If you think you are great and you have no room for improvement — you need to rethink that thought. If you are struggling to jump to another level, it just means you need more time to dedicate to your gift.
Forgetting to have Ethics
I talk about Mediums needing to have their own personal ethics. This is important that we all have a standard of which we should work. The important of having a code of ethics makes your life easier. Your personal code of ethics will determine who you will work with, the conditions you work the types of messages you work with and what you won’t do.
There are things we shouldn’t say, people we should probably not read and situations that we should steer clear of. Our personal Code of Ethics keep us from getting into trouble.
Comparing Yourself to Others
This is one of the biggest mistakes that many Mediums make. Comparing their gifts to your own special and unique gifts. The truth is everyone has a different way and we are all special. Too often we get caught up in ego and start comparing ourselves to others that we forget this very fact.
Once you understand that every message is valuable and that we must trust our connection with Spirit to give us what we need at the time it is needed. Find a way to stop comparing ourselves to others. Think of it this way, I have seen beginners in my development circle give amazing messages that would rival Lisa Williams or John Edwards.
Hopefully my discussing mediumship failures will help preventing you from making one or all of them.
