Understanding “Dark Energy” in Mediumship Practice

The phrase dark energy often carries a sense of fear. Many people assume that if something is described as dark, it must be dangerous or malicious. In mediumship practice, however, that assumption is not always accurate.

In my experience, darkness is not necessarily a sign of evil. More often, it is simply the place where our light has not yet reached.

As mediums and seekers, we stand at the meeting point of two worlds: the physical and the spiritual. That space can feel shadowed at times, but shadow is simply contrast.  It helps us recognize our own light. Spirit does not ask us to fear those moments; Spirit asks us to grow through them.

When Heavier Energies Appear in Mediumship

There have been moments in my own work when I have sensed heavier or darker energies — not malicious, only lost or confused.  Experiences like this are sometimes what people mean when they speak about dark energy in spiritual practice.

When that happens, I pause, breathe, and lift my intention toward the highest good.  That shift in vibration, moving from fear to love, changes everything.  Light does not fight the dark; it transforms it.

Spiritual wisdom is not about calling back what is hidden or chasing proof.  It is about walking in balance and remembering that the unseen world is part of the same Divine creation we are.

The more we align ourselves with love, the less shadow defines our experience.  Mediumship is not about confronting darkness; it is about learning to remain steady in the presence of both light and shadow.  Wisdom lives in that meeting place — where light touches the unknown and understanding brings peace.
