covid-19 pandemic

The Covid-19 Pandemic has taken over our lives and many of us are experiencing a large amount of anxiety as a result.    I think the media has a lot to do with it.   While it is good to be informed about this virus and how to protect ourselves, you may want to examine how it is affecting your Spirit and emotional health.   We are a good six months into this and for the foreseeable future it will be our reality.

There is a lot of toxic positivity out there, and I am not asking you to go there.   What I am suggesting is that you create balance in your life right now.   We are all adjusting to new realities that last year, at this time, were not even a thought.   Work, family, school, social and even our spiritual lives are all in a flux.

Covid-19 Pandemic Intentions

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed and perhaps out of control?    It may be time to take a social media vacation and while you are at it a break from the news.   Take time and become more aware of your surroundings.   Find ways to be grateful for what you have.   Learn to be still and be comfortable with the silence.   Our lives are made up of so much noise that we miss what our Spirit is trying to tell us.   By doing so, you take your own power back.

By removing all sorts of media from your life, you will have more time.   Use that time constructively.   Connect with those people that are important to you.  Learn a new skill, work on a craft you have wanted to do but do not have the time.   Make homemade meals, start playing games with your family without your phones.  Start a new tradition that fills you with joy.

Doing this, you will find that you will make better decisions because you are not making them out of fear.  As a result, you will feel calmer and more in control.   Even when the world around you is falling apart.

Still struggling?  I suggest that you try some affirmations to help you if you are struggling with this time.

Affirmations to Help

I will not give way to worry, fear, or worst-case scenario thinking.

There is pleasure in my own solitude.

I am enjoying cooking healthy and nutritious meals at home that assist me with my weight loss goals.

When I feel lonely it is time to practice self-love and care, I look in the mirror and simply say “I love you!”

I feel the love of those who are not physically around me.

My choice is to eat well, exercise regularly and get plenty of rest to enjoy good health.

This pandemic isolation is hard, and I can do hard things.

I am stronger than I think I am, I am not tested above my capability.

Today is a new day!  I will let go of the disappointments of the past and make new plans and feel excited as I do so.

Covid-19 Can be a Time of Growth

This time of isolation is difficult during the Covid-19 pandemic, yet we make our own reality.   With that being said surround yourself with positivity that helps you grow during this time.  I hope that the coronavirus will be contained soon so we can return to a more normal life.

But until then — we need to remember that our state of being is important.   That we remain calm and centered during this stressful time.   We may even find that during this time a new normal has evolved and some bad personal habits have been broken.   Our priorities may realign to a life we want, one that is more beautiful than we had ever envisioned prior to all of this.
