Ghost Hunting – Just stop already!

Ghost hunting has always bothered me.  I talk with Spirit all the time.   I am of white light and of positive energy.   I am a connection between two worlds and a positive one at that.  I find nothing positive about going around with all sorts of equipment to record the torture of a soul.

I keep seeing Paranormal Groups going to “haunted houses” and hunt and search for these Spirits.   They poke and prod them.  Let’s face it they exploit them for fame and profit.  Then they are surprised by the negative and angry reactions they get.   A well known Medium recently posted about their experience and how shaken they were and how scared they became.   Duh?!!   What did you expect?  That they are going to react with glitter, hearts, flowers and rainbows!

What they are doing is not much different that the big game hunters do — it is a sport at the cost of a soul.   Now if you thing that I do not like hunting wildlife you would be wrong.   There is a difference when you eat the meat that is hunted.  There is great respect and reverence for the soul taken.  I have a problem with those that do it for the thrill.  I never have done so and the thought of going to one of these venues with that intent makes me sick.

Maybe it is because the movie Winchester is coming out that this has been on my mind.  I have visited the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, CA and definitely had experience with Spirit there.   The difference was I didn’t come with all sorts of equipment and wanting my five minutes of fame.   I have visited historical sites of mass death like Gettysburg and 9/11 Memorial.   Spirit is very strong and should be lovingly respected, not poked and prodded so someone can record the phenomena and profit from it.

In my Real Estate business I come across houses that have Spirits all the time.   I have run into a negative one or two.   I just send white light in their direction and they hide from it.   They understand I am not there to bother them.  I haven’t called a paranormal group in to investigate.   If there is an issue with a home, I am not so stupid to think that I can correct it.   I reach out to those that handle it.   The people I reach out to are not in the yellow pages and do not have a marketing campaign on social media either…

So the next time you think it may be fun to go to a haunted house and hunt down Spirit, I want you to think twice before doing it.  Ask yourself why you are doing it and if there isn’t something better you can do with the money you will spend doing this?

All I am really asking is for you to think about the practice of ghost hunting.   Take a second and see it from another Soul’s view.
