Forensic Mediumship – Something You Should Consider?

What is Forensic Mediumship?

Forensic mediumship is a unique and challenging field that combines spiritual connection with investigative work. Have you ever wondered how mediumship could help solve mysteries or bring closure to families? Mediums in this area aim to provide insights that may assist in cases involving missing persons, unsolved crimes, or other complex situations.

What is this Type of Mediumship Really Like?

Forensic mediumship often looks much different than people imagine. It’s not like the TV show Medium starring Patricia Arquette, where visions and clues neatly unravel a case. In reality, much of this work is quiet, unpublished, and handled delicately. Security and privacy concerns are paramount, and mediums must understand what they’re stepping into before getting involved.

During a week-long forensic mediumship class, I worked on several cases, gaining insights that went beyond typical readings. What I learned pushed me to dig deeper into my connection with Spirit. However, I also discovered that this kind of work isn’t for everyone—and that’s okay. Even if you choose not to pursue forensic mediumship, learning about it can still enhance your mediumship abilities.

What Skills Do You Need?

One of the most crucial skills for forensic mediumship is the ability to stay detached from the case. This work can involve deeply emotional and often heartbreaking situations, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Personally, I found detachment too difficult. It was a valuable lesson: not every form of mediumship is meant for every medium. It’s important to know your limits and trust your instincts.

That said, the tools and techniques I learned continue to support my mediumship practice. Forensic mediumship invites you to look deeper, trust Spirit more fully, and refine how you interpret the information you receive.

How Does Forensic Mediumship Work?

Forensic mediums connect with Spirit to receive impressions about people, places, or events tied to a case. This might include visual images, physical sensations, emotional impressions, or symbolic messages. Some mediums use psychometry, holding objects connected to the case to access energetic information.

It’s important to remember that forensic mediumship is not an exact science. Mediums provide potential insights, not guarantees. Collaborating with Spirit is always a partnership, and not every detail will align perfectly or be immediately verifiable.  Authorities need verifiable facts and evidence to solve crimes and missing people.

Ethics and Professionalism Matter

You can’t simply walk into your local police department and start sharing information. Forensic mediumship requires professionalism, respect, and a strong understanding of the boundaries involved. Much of this work is never made public for good reasons—security concerns, protecting families, and the sensitive nature of investigations.

If you’re considering this field, it’s essential to educate yourself and work with experienced mentors. Understanding what you’re getting involved with can save you—and those you hope to help—a lot of heartache.

Resources for Learning More

If you feel drawn to this type of mediumship, you may want to consider taking a class to deepen your understanding and skills. Lisa Williams offers specialized courses on forensic mediumship through her Psychic Medium Training Academy. These courses provide practical training, ethical guidance, and valuable insights for those ready to explore this challenging yet rewarding field.

Is Forensic Mediumship Right for You?

Forensic mediumship isn’t for everyone, and that’s perfectly fine. Exploring this field can still deepen your connection with Spirit and expand your skills, even if you choose not to pursue it long-term. If you feel drawn to this work, start by building your foundational mediumship abilities and learning from those with experience in these cases.

Above all, trust your intuition. This field can be incredibly rewarding but also deeply demanding. It’s okay to say, “This isn’t for me.” The journey to discovering your unique path as a medium is just as important as the work itself.
