I often wonder about people wanting free readings.   It amazes me how many times I am asked for them.   I find that there is no value put upon my time.   I guess a lot of this comes from almost 25 years in the Real Estate business.   People will pick my brain for information then when it comes to listing their home, they call someone else.

Can you give me a free reading?   The first time I was asked I did so.   I now remind people that they wouldn’t do something for someone without compensation, why do they expect it from me.

Yes this is a gift and I share it willingly.   It is when people just assume that I will give free readings or talks that I have a problem.   It is something that I struggle with.   I want to help but so often the person asking for a free reading is not going to really appreciate it when they get it for free.   A second reason for this struggle is once I give someone a free reading they usually expect it on a regular basis.   In other words I have created another problem for myself.

It isn’t like I don’t give of my time.   I never get paid for giving messages at church or on Wednesday nights at Lily Dale, or when I am a visiting Medium at the Inspiration Stump and Forest Temple.    Many of the local churches have fun fests and I donate my time.  I have given free readings to people over the years.   I even give free readings on Spirit of the Storm Radio.  Spirit lets me know when I must help someone and I do not ignore those people.

I have learned that what I do has value and many times people do not take it seriously if they have not paid for the time.
