It’s been a while since the most recent post on this topic, so here is #12 in a series of an occasional sharing of an “inspirational” song. We put “inspirational” in quotes because this will not necessarily be not in the traditional sense, like something you might sing in church. We welcome you to message us with what songs inspire you.
People that know me know that I have a particular affinity for “Contemporary Jazz” (perhaps you’ve heard it called “Smooth Jazz”). We use selections from this type of music during the Healing portions of services when we can. Here’s an example…
Brian Simpson has said that growing up, his house was filled with music and he never really considered anything else as a lifestyle. He is a musician (piano), composer and producer, and has also toured with big name acts like Janet Jackson. His 2015 album Out of a Dream includes this track, “Sky Watcher.” The interplay between guitar and piano gives me the feeling of floating effortlessly among the clouds, and no doubt raises my vibration.
