Make the Most

How to Use a Tarot Card Spread to Make the Most of Your Life’s Decisions

We all try to make the most out of our lives.  Our life path results from a series of decisions we make every day. Sometimes it is more than challenging to make the right decision. It is not unusual to be influenced by the opinions and influences of those we love and listen to the most.

That brings us to the state of uncertainty, feeling torn between different thoughts and emotions. We all know that it is necessary to choose one side. To decide and persevere in it. But how?

What we should all do is to listen to our inner selves, our intuition. If you have neglected it for a long time, you have probably forgotten how to rely on intuition. The tarot can help you with that.  Tarot spreads that can help you with decision making:

One-card spread

Use this spread to answer yes/no questions, or when you just need one answer. It can help with readings where you want to know how a situation will go, the energy for the day, and any other questions. With one card, the meaning is usually straightforward in its answer to you.

Two-card spread

Great for those who are just starting to get into the practice of reading the cards. Shuffle your deck. As you shuffle it, think about your challenge/issue. Try to be detailed and think about all the options. When you feel it’s time, pull two cards from the deck. The first card indicates your current situation, and the second card the solution. And so, if you feel torn between two decisions, this reading can help you find a new way to move forward or may validate one of your decisions.

Three-card spread

It is helpful to use the 3-card spread for a past, present, future forecasting spread. It is a great way to access what has happened in your life and what will happen in the future.

Five-card spread

Sometimes, using fewer cards is more straightforward because the answer will be less complicated. You can place them in a cross shape. In the middle should be the card pulled second in line. Above it goes the first, below it the third, to the left is the second. Right of the second goes the fifth one.

Card number one indicates your motivation, everything that excites and encourages you every day. When it comes to your specific question, it will give you an answer to the question of how your motivation influences your decision. The second card represents the ideal outcome, what you would most like to happen regardless of the circumstances. The third card indicates your values & principles. Also, how they influence or can influence your decision. The fourth card is one possible outcome. The fifth card is the second outcome.

Major Arcana Only Reading

If you are a beginner, try only the major arcana. Cards that belong to the major arcana have more clearly defined meanings.

Tarot card positions and their mutual symbolism will show the best ways to explore various situations to find solutions. Tarot will help you look more carefully at all the details, what you unconsciously ignore/reject in the present. And see the answer through objective evaluation and reflection.

Don’t limit yourself. You can use this tool for all aspects of life, whether choosing a partner, accepting a new job, traveling, choosing the right education, and other decisions.

The two readings presented above are not the only ones that can help you make decisions. But they are the simplest. Once you master these, explore other readings.
