Category: Human Experience
A human experience is why we have come to this world. We came here to deal with the messy emotions and to experience the struggle. We did not come here to be perfect.
Human beings, unlike other species, have a conscious awareness of their own mortality. Our human experience covers the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical characteristics of human life.
Humans are aware of the irony that they are both brilliant and aberrant, sensitive and savage, exquisitely caring and painfully indifferent, remarkably creative and incredibly destructive to self and others.

Embracing differences in a divided world
Originally written July 18, 2018, but very important to share now. Embracing Differences between people is next to impossible at this time in history. Democrats vs Republicans. Americans vs Immigrants. Religious vs Atheists. The list of descriptives that separate us far outweigh those that unite us. We all are Spiritual Beings living a human experience. […]
Another Surgery ?*@!
I am facing yet another surgery this month in my BRCA journey. I am so tired of it. The last thing I want is yet another surgery. Yet that is where I am at. This time it is revision surgery. Take care of some of the bumps and imperfections away from my body after 4 […]

Colleen’s Golden Chicken
I make Golden Chicken often in the winter for George and myself. Since we both drink rarely, I have gotten into a habit of planning this meal right after we have opened a bottle of white wine and use the leftover wine. Hence why I use half a bottle of dry white wine. I use […]
When Father’s Day is a Struggle
Not everyone will be buying gifts for Father’s Day. Not everyone looks forward to this day set aside to honor our fathers. In fact they dread it. The tv ads leading up to the holiday, the social media tributes other post about their own fathers. It hurts, I know and I wish it wasn’t so. […]
