One of my favorite moments in development circle is when we repeat an exercise students have done before. The first time, many feel unsure. They hesitate. They second guess every impression. By the second or third round, something shifts. They see it differently. They trust more. The connection feels steadier.
And then one day, I watch it happen — the student who once sat quietly becomes the one helping someone new. The student becomes the teacher. Growth reveals itself in the most natural way.
Progress in mediumship isn’t always obvious day to day. It builds through repetition. Doing an exercise once teaches mechanics. Doing it again teaches trust. By the fourth or fifth time, understanding deepens. A symbol that was once confusing now makes sense. A feeling that seemed vague now lands clearly. Familiar exercises become measuring sticks for how far a student has come.
I want students to realize this truth: practice is everything. Mediumship is not handed to anyone on a silver platter. It does not matter how gifted you are — connection requires effort, patience, and willingness to show up again and again. You strengthen intuition the same way you strengthen a muscle: through use.
Repetition isn’t boring. It’s revealing. It shows what has changed, what is easier, and what has grown. Each return to a familiar exercise adds another layer of understanding. Technique sharpens. Trust expands. Messages flow with more ease.
If you want to see your progress, don’t always seek the next new thing. Sometimes the clearest proof is found in what once felt hard.
Practice builds confidence. The practice anchors trust. Practice opens paths that talent alone cannot.
