My First Talk at Lily Dale Assembly
Last minute opportunities happen at an increasing rate lately for me. If you know me, you know that I take a lot of photos. I seem to always want to be behind the camera or as it is in most recent years cell phone taking photos of moments to be remembered. Documenting moments in my life.
Mercury is in Retrograde and big things happen for me in my own personal development with my gift and connection to Spirit. Yesterday was a huge leap in my trust that when needed; whatever it may be, it will be there.
This photo was taken yesterday afternoon at the Lily Dale Auditorium. It was a rather big moment for me. After a last minute opportunity opened up for me to be the Inspirational Speaker at the 2:30 Service.
Last Minute Rush
With 7 minutes notice, I had to run to my car where my bag was that had a dress and shoes in it. A series of events that had happened just prior ensured that I had my car and bag in it. I was originally going to pop over with my mentor and watch him be the Medium for the day leaving my car at his home. Instead he had an errand that came up which meant I had to drive over myself. There are no accidents.
Jack threw together my bio as I dressed. I walked onto the Platform in a whirlwind. No idea what I was going to say, how I was going to say it. I didn’t have a moment to doubt. I just believed I could and would do this. As I was walking onto the Platform, I was still putting my hair into a messy bun. I have done inspirational talks before, but this one was done completely in trust that the Devine would give me exactly what I needed at the moment it was needed.
Spirit Always Has a Plan
Spirit did not fail me. I have no recollection of what I said. What I do know was that there may have been less than 100 human in the space, there was not an empty seat. I felt loved a supported by every one that had ever graced that platform. A gentle voice of a woman behind me said “you can do this dear, just start.” The two people behind me sitting on the Platform were Dennis Morley and Jack Rudy. I knew Spirit showed up and made it happen. I looked out and started to speak.
When Jack got up to give messages he graciously had me do a few with him. It was important that it happened this way. There again were powerful messages that needed to be given. I was exactly where I was needed at the moment I was needed.
Afterwards three different people came up to me and said what I said in my talk meant the world to them. That they needed to hear that they had to believe in themselves. One of the largest challenges I have had in this process. Believing in myself.
Trust Spirit
Ironically I had a feeling that I would be a speaker at the 2:30 Service this season, but I had given up being asked and the next thing I know it was happening 3 days at the end of the season. It is always at the end of season things happen for me. The last person I spoke with said how wonderful it was to see Susan B. Anthony standing next to me as I spoke.
Trust. Trust what you are feeling. Go with an opportunity that comes your way. If you function with a heart of love and service it will come back to you.
Wow! I am incredibly blessed and honored to be doing this with my life….
