Cyber Bullying – A talk from Patient Zero
Cyber Bullying is a huge problem for many in this world. The lack of compassion and understand is mind blowing. Cyber bullying is easy to do in this on-line world and when the President of the United States does it every day. We have become immune to it and almost afraid to say something.
Wow I just watched this Ted Talk! I am impressed by Monica Lewinsky. The lack of compassion in this world. I have felt it personally over time. We all need to have more compassion. Shame and humiliation today in this internet community lacks compassion. Too often it is about ad revenue and how much money one can make. What she went through I cannot even imagine. Yet she is a strong advocate for the underdog. She became what she needed in her darkest hour.
Cyber Bulling Happens to Everyone
Gossip, Reality TV, and media have made a shift into selling the worst, not the best. A market place has been born in shame in humiliation. This is a dangerous cycle. Making money off of someone’s suffering is just wrong. Cyber Bullying is anonymous until it happens to you, then it is deeply personal.
Public shaming as a blood sport has to stop! She is right Empathy and Compassion need to increase. There is a responsibility to freedom of speech. Remember that every time you post or judge another.
