obstacles

Obstacles in development as Mediums are many.  As mediums, our journey is deeply personal and unique. Yet, many of us face similar challenges that can hold us back from reaching our full potential. In my experience, the three main obstacles are fear, lack of patience, and lack of commitment to the work. Let’s explore these challenges and how to overcome them.

Fear

Fear is a powerful barrier. It manifests in many ways—fear of failure, fear of judgment, or even fear of the unknown. This fear can paralyze us, preventing us from fully embracing our abilities.

How to Overcome Fear:

    • Acknowledge It: Recognize your fears. Understand that they are a natural part of growth.
    • Educate Yourself: Knowledge is power. The more you learn about mediumship, the less intimidating it becomes.
    • Seek Support: Surround yourself with a supportive community. Share your fears and learn from others who have faced similar challenges.

Lack of Patience

Mediumship is not an overnight journey. It requires time, practice, and perseverance. Many aspiring mediums become frustrated when they don’t see immediate results and may give up too soon.   This requires patience, something that does not come easily to most of us.

How to Cultivate Patience:

    • Set Realistic Goals: Break your journey into small, manageable steps. Celebrate each milestone.
    • Practice Regularly: Consistency is key. Dedicate time each day to practice and refine your skills.
    • Stay Present: Focus on the present moment rather than worrying about the future. Trust that your abilities will develop over time.

Lack of Commitment

Achieving success as a medium requires dedication and hard work. Without a strong commitment, it’s easy to become distracted or lose motivation.

How to Strengthen Commitment:

    • Define Your Why: Clarify why you want to pursue mediumship. This purpose will fuel your dedication.
    • Create a Routine: Establish a daily routine that includes meditation, practice, and study. Consistency builds discipline.
    • Seek Accountability: Find a mentor or join a group of like-minded individuals who can hold you accountable and provide encouragement.

By addressing these obstacles, you can unlock your full potential as a medium. Remember, the journey is just as important as the destination. Embrace the process, stay committed, and trust in your abilities.
