Your Brain and Mediumship
Using your brain and mediumship is a challenge for those learning to work with Spirit. The left and right sides of the brain fight each other. But let’s talk about how you can make these two sides work together and make it easier for you! We are all different and how it works in each of us differs.
We all learned in middle school that the brain has two sides, and we are born that way. There are a series of never fibres that connect the two sides. There are five bundles, anterior, posterior, hippocampal, habernural and corpus callosum. The communication between the two segments of the brain is coordinated through the corpus callosum. So here is a breakdown of how the sides work and why you may be struggling with mediumship.
The left is about control and survival. It is serious, analytical, language, numbers and math. This side controls right hand, logical and questioning. It is very linear and time dependent. The who, where, what, when, how and why of things.
The right is about fun, controls the left hand and free. It is creative, artistic and intuitive. This is non-linear, non-sequential, three dimensional and musical. This side of the brain is good at seeing things and our spiritual side. Our connection with Spirit is in this section of the brain and has a holistic aspect of thinking.
When you are working in the right brain you are allowing the information to flow, while working in the left you are trying or forcing it. As you study and learn, you will find the way to let your left brain help you and messages will become easier and more detailed. How you ask? Well if you give your left brain a job of asking the questions to help you give the messages.
The Study of the Brain
Many have championed the right brain for its creativity, intuition and spirituality, while maintaining the left brain is the place of logic, analysis and pragmatism. While talk about left and right brains doesn’t help us understand these states, the good news is researchers, with advanced technology, are making new connections between spirituality, art, the brain and states of consciousness.
It is important to access the right brain to be able to do mediumship. This is where meditation (or prayer), yoga and nature are important. Meditation puts you into your right brain. Right arm, left leg , left arm, right leg marching will also help you encourage the communication between the left and right.
There is much to be learned about how the brain operates and how Mediums use their brains to connect with Spirit. I do not have all the answers, but I hope that this helps you understand some aspect of Mediumship. In doing that, making it easier for you to connect and communicate with Spirit directly.
