Understanding others is a running theme.  I originally wrote this back on May 3, 2016.   In reviewing old posts I found this.
It is just as relevant today as then, and the negativity we are experiencing in the world are only increasing.

I am struggling with something and I need to really formulate it in my head and heart.

I try to find the good in everyone, not focus on the bad.   Because if I didn’t try to see the good initially,  I wouldn’t see the beauty that lies within so many people.   Instant decisions sometimes rob you of seeing someone differently.

There are massive divides around me — in Family, Friends, the Real Estate community, Politics and even in the Spiritual community.  This mad desire to be the ONLY right way to do something.

Spirit has nudged me towards many that I initially reacted negatively about.   Strong personalities that EVERYONE has an opinion  about and they are quick to share it with newcomers.  Luckily I pay attention to cues give to me.   I dig beyond the surface and see the truth for myself.

The first thing I learned becoming a Spiritualist was that we are each encouraged to seek our own truth.  In seeking my own truth — I am blessed to know a few people that I have found beauty in that others find offensive.   I struggle with some, but perhaps that is my lesson to learn right now.   Focus on the positive in everyone.

How to Understand Others

Each of us need to be a little more loving, less judgmental and willing to break the negativity…   Perhaps send love and healing to those that offend us he most. Or at the very least take a very close look at our reactions.

Spiritualism has taught me much, and the fractures in the Spiritual community are many.   We would all be in a better place if we reach out and heal the wounds that have occurred.   Love those that offend, hurt or don’t see things the same way we do.  Too often we (yes I include myself in this) get stuck in the offense, we never get beyond to the love.

I struggle each day with understanding others myself, I must remind myself not everyone will agree with me.   That is okay.   Anyone that shows me kindness and respect will get it in return.  I am a rare bird that flies as my heart directs me based on my own experiences. I have really learned in my heart that Spirituality is a way of life…
