Family Heirlooms

Family Heirlooms come in many shapes and sizes.  In my family the majority of it was in jewelry.  This was my grandmother’s ring.   It sat in a box for many years.   Look closely it is a chakra ring.  Her jewelry brings me so much joy.   I love wearing these old pieces.

Jewelry is deeply personal so how is it that I have the same taste as my grandmother.   My own mother thought these pieces were ugly.  It is like they were made for me.   The rings fit me perfectly I have 4 of them in total.   Along with several other pieces that my grandmother treasured.  The styles are me.   It makes you wonder if they had picked it out with me in mind.   Then again many of these pieces were obtained long before I was born.

Enjoy Family Heirlooms!

If you are so lucky to get a family heirloom from a loved one, cherish it.   It may just be what you need.  At the time you are given it you may not know the power it will have for you later in life.   Perhaps it won’t be you but one of your children that will be thrilled to have that piece of family history.
