Embracing Differences between people is next to impossible at this time in history.  Democrats vs Republicans.  Americans vs Immigrants.  Religious vs Atheists.  The list of descriptives that separate us far outweigh those that unite us. We all are Spiritual Beings living a human experience.

Everyone is focused on what separates us that we forget that we really do have a lot in common.  Every once in awhile you come across something that makes you stop and think.  How cool is this commercial for Heineken?

This is something to think about in a world that is all about pre-judging people.  Perhaps if we start embracing differences this world would become a kinder, more gentle place.   This world has become so black and white and in reality, there are so many shades in between.

May I suggest before you start to judge someone, that perhaps it may be better to get to know them personally.   Form your own opinion.   Many times you may come to the same conclusion that others have and then again you may just discover something wonderful that everyone is missing.

Personally, I have tried this a lot in the past year.   There are times I have been disappointed, yet there are many examples of embracing my differences with someone has clarified the world for me.   They accept me as I am, and I do the same.   It is possible to make this world a better place.   Just start with one person, and try and see the world from their point of view.

I can promise you that not everyone will embrace you.   That is ok.   What is important is how you view them.  How you interact and exchange with them from this change in your own mindset.   You see leadership doesn’t come from the top down, it comes from those that walk the walk of their faith and work towards improving themselves and their relationships.  When that happens small miracles begin to happen and the change you want in the world start to occur.
